S’Mores Chocolate Smoothie with #TruMoo

January 30, 2014 By Shannah Coe 2 Comments

Thank you to TruMoo for partnering with me on this recipe. As always, all opinions expressed here are my own. This post is an announcement about the new seasonalChocolate Marshmallow Milk that’s in stores this month only! We can’t wait to try it! For this post TruMoo’s Chocolate Milk was used and is available year-round

We got through a lot of milk here in the Just Us Four house.  Like 3+ gallons of milk each week.  Chocolate milk is a hot commodity too because we all love it.  I was in the store the other day and saw that TruMoo now makes Chocolate Marshmallow milk and it totally got me in the mood for milk and cookies.  Even though we are in the middle of the polar vortex, my daughter is still begging for ice cream, milkshakes and other frozen treats so I decided to combine those items and make her a s’mores chocolate smoothie as a treat using the TruMoo Chocolate Marshmallow milk.  Sadly, our store was sold out of the Chocolate Marshmallow flavor but we used the regular chocolate this time around.  I know this recipe will be even more amazing with the Chocolate Marshmallow version!

This new flavor of TruMoo is a limited edition flavor for February and it has started rolling out in Target stores this week.  It will hit other stores  next week so keep your eye out for it at your favorite store.  Of course, you can find delicious TruMoo chocolate and regular milks year round at your local store.  I just love the idea of a chocolate milk that has a hint of s’mores flavor.

TruMoo contains no artificial growth hormones and no high fructose corn syrup so I feel good about letting my kids drink it either by itself or in something like a yummy smoothie or milkshake.   We might even try it in place of our usual hot chocolate on the next snow day.

The s’mores flavored smoothie I made is super easy and it was so delicious.

What You’ll Need:
1 cup TruMoo Chocolate Marshmallow milk {You can use regular chocolate like we did too}
4 tsp cocoa powder
2/3 cup ice
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2 Tbsp honey
Mini marshmallows
Golden grahams or crushed graham crackers
Whipped cream {optional}

Let’s Make It:
1)  In the blender, crush your ice.

2)  Add in milk, cocoa powder, vanilla extract and honey.  Blend until smooth. {You may have to stop and start a few times to make sure you get all the ice blended well}

3)  Pour into a glass and top with whipped cream {if using}, golden grahams and mini marshmallows.
