New Pizza Favorites – Make Your Pizza Your Own

Collective Bias Disclosure

Between the holidays and then gearing up for major Football games in January and February, March can seem pretty sparse when it comes to activities.  Unless, of course, you are a basketball fan!  I don’t watch much basketball at all but love a good reason to invite friends over to hang out and a sports game is always a good one.  With time being at a premium these days though, I don’t go all out with a full spread and tend to stick to things like pizza and chips with dip.  Of course, that doesn’t mean, I just typically flop any old pizza on a plate and go with it.  Nope, I find some #NewFavorites, like flavors DiGiorno just introduced, and make them even more delicious with a few extra touches.
Create an awesome pizza buffet with #NewFavorites and extra toppings. #cbias #shop #pizzaPizza is one of our favorite foods any day.  It doesn’t matter if it is cheese or a more elaborate version with a white sauce and prosciutto.  DiGiorno recently came out with two new pizzas: buffalo chicken and sausage with peppers and onions.  Both have a yummy crust stuffed with cheese that makes them even tastier.  We were getting together to watch some sports and I thought it would be fun to try out these new flavors.

For the buffalo chicken pizza, I decided to have a pizza toppings bar and grabbed a few items that traditionally go well with buffalo chicken like shredded carrots, blue cheese dressing and bacon.  Then, I cut the pizza into strips and let everyone top their pizza any way they wanted.

#shop healthy pizza_wmI offered a few extra toppings like grated Parmesan and crushed red pepper for the sausage and pepper pizza but most people ate it just as it was.  I served it on a pedestal to make it a fun and reminiscent of a pizza parlor.
#shop pizza on platter_wmI found both of the new flavors of DiGiorno pizza at Walmart when I was there picking up a few things while my daughter was in gymnastics class {perfect time to run errands!}.  They are so easy to find in the frozen food section.

What is your favorite food when you get together to watch sports games?  Are you looking forward to all of the great basketball coming in March?

Thanks! I like to add bacon and blue cheese to pretty much anything Buffalo chicken like so I though it would be fun to offer those items as pizza toppings too.
