Best Ever Rosemary Garlic Rub

November 12, 2015 By Shannah Coe 3 Comments

Mathlete always jokes that we could double our kitchen space if I would get rid of half of my spice collection. If a friend ever needs a random spice, there is a pretty good chance I have it. I am a firm believer that great spices make the difference in a meal. So, I like to keep lots of different ones on hand to use when cooking. One of my favorite things is to combine different herbs and spices to create my own mixes. This one that I am about to share is absolutely the BEST EVER rosemary garlic rub.

This dry rub goes great on just about anything. I’ve use one chicken and even just in a good olive oil with bread for dipping. You are going to love all the flavors combined together.

Rosemary Garlic Rub Ingredients:

1/4 cup dried rosemary
2 Tbsp dried garlic granules
2 tsp dried onion
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper
2 Tbsp dried thyme
1 Tbsp dried sage

Let’s Make It:

1) In a small bowl, combine all ingredients together. Stir to mix well. Store in airtight container until ready to use.

Really…it is that easy! The flavor is amazing and, since you made it yourself, you don’t have to worry about any hidden ingredients {ahem, sugar} in there like you may get with store bought spice rubs.

When you are ready to use it, you can mix it with olive oil to make a paste and spread it on your protein. Or, you can simply rub it onto your meat. I also sprinkle it over vegetables and it is so good.

I store all of my spice rubs in glass spice jars so they are ready to use whenever I want.

What are some of your favorite spices? Do you like to create your own combinations?

Hi, this sounds great. I am wondering if you just added store bought spices all together or if these are fresh ingredients from your garden? I have a few of these ingredients in the garden, but not all. What do you recommend? Thanks

Hi! I just combined store bought ingredients. If you have some from the garden, I would use those and then fill in the rest with store bought items.
