Five Minute Candle Decorations

November 28, 2013 By Shannah Coe 4 Comments

I love white candles.  Well, I love all candles actually but white candles are just so versatile {and inexpensive} so I keep them around all the time for little projects.  We don’t typically light the candles because our three year old would be certain to go try and play with them or knock them over.  So, instead, we end up decorating the candles to decorate WITH the candles.  I have a few five minute candle decorations to share with you today that use candles and a few other items you most likely already have on hand.  They are perfect for when you want to decorate with candles but don’t really plan to light the candles.Washi Tape candles with Label_wm

While I usually use white candles in these quick crafts, I found a neat green one in my stash that I threw in for fun.  For the green candle, I cut the words on washi tape out and just applied it to the front of the candle.

I had some bright red burlap that just felt like Christmas in my craft supply so I used it to wrap around the taller candle.  The craft store had these cute little gem stickers so I picked up a few of them and attached one right to the front of the burlap.

For the taper candle, I just wrapped washi tape around it at different parts of the candle.  You could easily do a matching set or pick up a few and do different, but coordinating, washi tape on them for a grouped display.
Washi Tape candles_wmI love projects like this that take next to no time to complete.  Only one of the candles even took an extra tool to complete and that was just a spot of hot glue.  You could easily use straight pins if you don’t feel like heating up the glue gun.

You can see my other candle transformations here.
