Blueberry Pineapple Iced Tea and an Easy Dinner

June 9, 2016 By Shannah Coe 2 Comments

I am excited to share with you a great new dinner option. While this post was sponsored, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

As soon as the weather starts warming up, I start craving refreshing iced drinks. We were at Wendy’s the other day and I picked up one of their blueberry pineapple tea chillers. It was so delicious and refreshing but I knew I wouldn’t be able to stomach the price tag on a repeated basis. So, I went home determined to create my own version and the resulting blueberry pineapple iced tea is nothing short of amazing.

Blueberry Pineapple Iced Tea

Mathlete absolutely loved this blueberry pineapple iced tea so I keep a pitcher of it in the fridge since I am not around very often. I am at gymnastics about sixteen hours per week which means I am not home for dinner very often. Mathlete is definitely NOT a cook though so I always try to leave options that are easy for him to reheat or that can cook while I am gone and be ready when he gets home. Blake’s All Natural Foods pot pies are the perfect option for the nights when I am at gymnastics. I can put them in the oven with a timer and they are done when he gets home from work.

Blake’s All Natural Foods is known for its chicken pot pies and Shepherd’s pot pie. However, they recently announced the addition of two new pot pies to the lineup: Beef Pot Pie and Turkey Pot Pie, both made from scratch in small batches using only the finest organic and all-natural ingredients. They both taste amazing and they can be made in the oven or the microwave.

The blueberry pineapple iced tea goes great with the pot pies. Mathlete always raves about how good both of them are when I get home from gymnastics. In my search for what to use as the blueberry part, I stumbled across a blueberry acai probiotic drink at my grocery store that I grabbed because it would offer an extra nutrition boost. If you can find that, you can use a blueberry tea or even blueberry puree {for a strong blueberry flavor}.

Ingredients for Blueberry Pineapple Iced Tea:

1/3 cup blueberry acai GoodBelly
1/4 cup pineapple juice
2/3 cup unsweetened ice tea
Ice

Let’s Make It:

1. In a glass, combine all three ingredients. Serve over ice.

This is such a refreshing drink and a great alternative to water during the warmer weather. You will almost always a find a pitcher of this tea and a few Blake’s pot pies in our house!

This tea was good but for those who like sweet tea you might want to add more sugar as some of my family members added more sugar since they like their tea sweet. But for me I would make it again since it is different.
