Ingredients
4cupsfresh green beans,trimmed and cut into 2 inch pieces
3slicesbacon,cooked and crumbled
1/4cupsour cream
3Tablespoonsmilk
1 1/4cupcream of mushroom soup
1teaspoonsalt
1/2teaspoonpepper
1 1/2cupFrench fried onionsdivided
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a medium baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.
Bring a large pot of water to boil over high heat. Add green beans and cook for 2 minutes. Immediately transfer to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Drain and pat dry with paper towels.

In a large bowl, combine cream of sour cream, milk, cream of mushroom soup, salt and pepper. Stir well to combine. Stir in green beans and 2/3 cup onions. Transfer to prepared baking dish.
1/4 cup sour cream, 3 Tablespoons milk, 1 1/4 cup cream of mushroom soup, 1 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon pepper, 1 1/2 cup French fried onions
Top with crumbled bacon and remaining fried onions.

Bake for 10-15 minutes in preheated oven or until bubbly. Remove from oven and serve.
Notes
If you substitute frozen green beans, thaw them but skip 2 of the recipe.
You can make the recipe through step 3 up to 2 days in advance. Cover tightly and store in the refrigerator. On the day you plan to bake it, remove from the refrigerator while the oven preheats. Top with bacon and remaining fried onions just before baking.
