Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups pecan halves
  • 1 Tablespoon oil
  • 2 1/2 Tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a rimmed baking sheet with nonstick foil.
  • Add pecan halves to large skillet and dry toast on low heat for 2 minutes. Transfer to plate.
    2 1/2 cups pecan halves
  • Add oil and syrup to skillet. Heat on medium high until starting to bubble. Stir in cinnamon, cardamom, ginger and cloves. Add pecans and stir to coat.
1 Tablespoon oil, 2 1/2 Tablespoons maple syrup, 1 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 3/4 teaspoon ground cardamom, 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger, 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • Transfer pecans to prepared baking sheet and spread into single layer. Cook in preheated oven for 10-12 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with salt. Let cool.
    1/4 teaspoon salt

Notes

  • If you use a large oven proof skillet, you can simply roast the pecans in the skillet versus transferring them to a baking sheet. Just ensure the skillet is large enough for the pecans to roast in a single layer.
