Total Time 1 hour

Ingredients

  • 1 box Strawberry Cake Mix
  • 1/3 cup Regular Plain Yogurt
  • 1 1/3 cup Prosecco
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 cup Prosecco Buttercream Frosting
  • Lollipop Sticks
  • Wilton Candy Melts

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven according to box directions.

  2. Mix cake mix, yogurt and eggs at medium speed until fully combined. Slowly pour in prosecco with mixer on low.

  3. Pour cake mix into prepared cake pan and bake according to box directions. Remove from oven and leave over night.

  4. Crumble cake into crumbs {you can use your processor if you want...I used a 5 year old who wanted to play with the cake}. Add in 1 cup of prosecco buttercream frosting and mix well. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

  5. Roll 2 Tbsp of cake and frosting mixture into balls and place on nonstick surface. Stick lollipop stick in the top of each ball.

  6. Melt Wilton candy melts in microwave according to package directions {30 second on 50% power, stir, 10 second intervals until fully melted}.

  7. Dip cake balls into melted candy and place back on nonstick surface until hardened.

Recipe Notes

  • For this recipe, I recommend just making a 9x13 cake versus cupcakes.
