Spring has officially began!  That means it is time for beautiful sunshine, pollen and spring cleaning!  I’ve rounded up ten helpful spring cleaning tips and resources to help you get your house in tip top shape.

1.  The best way to start is by having a plan.  Use this printable checklist to help get you started.

2.  Dusting is always a big challenge for me.  It just never seems to go away!  Check out these 10 tips for dusting that may help you if you have the same dust problem I do!

3.  Spring is the perfect time to make sure your stove/oven gets a good scrubbing.  Check out this chemical free stove cleaning process to do it in a more “green” way.

4.  I try to make sure my windows get a really good cleaning at least twice per year.  Ask Anna Moseley has some great window cleaning tips.

5.  Our baseboards are another problem area in our house.  Check out these great tips for cleaning baseboards.

6.  Maybe your refrigerator is your problem area?  Home Stories A to Z has some awesome info on cleaning your fridge in 20 minutes!

7.  The washing machine is often forgotten in the standard cleaning routine.  Be sure not to forget about cleaning yours {using these tips!} in your spring cleaning routine though!

8. and 9.  Want a good list of spring cleaning tips?  Check out what My Blessed Life and A Bowl of Full Lemons shared!

10.  While you’re cleaning, be sure to give your furniture a good shine too.  You can even make your own furniture polish!

Do you do a big cleaning during the spring?  If so, what are your spring cleaning tips?

Ahh!! Hate cleaning, especially dusting. I seriously feel like right after I dust a counter it is dirty again within like 2 minutes. No joke.. its pointless! This helped.. getting my hubbie to change the air filter today! 🙂 Thanks for some great resources.

Thanks for the tips! I need to do a better job about ‘deep cleaning’. It seems like it just piles up after a while. 🙂

These are such great tips…. the baseboards are always forgotten here too. And dusting is that one chore I never seem to get to. 🙂

I totally agree, cleaning the fridge is so important. I mean that’s where you put your food and sustenance. And it’s no good to use chemicals that you can’t spell or pronounce where you put the food that you put into your mouth!

We try to clean our fridge at least once every other week. It is amazing the number of spills and stuff that happen when you don’t even realize it.
