A Glimpse: Girls Night In

March 18, 2013 By Shannah Leave a Comment

I am extremely blessed to have an amazing group of friends.  My circle is filled with smart, funny and super fun women who all have something special to offer!  The one thing we all have in common is a lack of free time.  We’re all busy moms with a lot on our plates.  But, each month, we try to get together and spend some time just hanging out.

This month, we decided to do a Girls Night In instead of going out to our usual nearby restaurant.  I hosted at my house and picked up some fun supplies so we could do manicures at the party too!

We have a Walgreens in our neighborhood so it was an easy place to get my manicure supplies.  Plus, they were offering special discounts on Sally Hansen products when I used my Balance Rewards card. Check out some of the awesome options Walgreens offers for manicures!
I am a big fan of polish that has a glittery look so I really liked the Gem Crush options.

The InstaDry polishes were all buy one, get one 50% off so I picked up a bunch of those for the party.  Walgreens offers that promotion until March 30, 2013 so be sure shop soon!

Once I got home, I set up for my party.  I planned a Bubbles and Bling party so I made sure I had plenty of champagne and shiny polish for the party.

I set up a manicure bar at the wet bar in our basement.

We had lots of yummy food to keep us filled.  I included items like mini cups of cauliflower soup, veggie cups with dip and meatballs on tiny forks.  I wanted to keep everything bite sized to make it easier to eat.

The party was so much fun.  It was great to visit with friends while also getting to indulge in some nail art. After a fun night of drinks and catching up, we can all definitely say #ILuvNailArt.  Check out some of our finished nails

Junior had a meeting the next day so we had to stay pretty conservative with her nails.

I packaged individual bottles of nail polish and nail files into canvas bags for each of the ladies to take home at the end of the night.  You can see more about the details of my shopping trip and party by visiting my Google+ album.
