German Chocolate Bars

  • 3.5 cups Chocolate Cookie Crumbs
  • 6 tbsp Butter melted
  • 14 oz Can Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 cup Chopped Pecans
  • 1 cup Shredded Coconut (I used sweetened coconut)
  • 1 cup Dark Chocolate Chips


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a 9x9 baking pan with parchment paper. Set aside.

  2. In a medium bowl, mix together cookie crumbs and 6 Tbsp of melted butter. Press into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.

  3. In a separate bowl, combine condensed milk, vanilla extract and egg. Stir until well mixed. Remove 1/2 of the mixture to another bowl. 

  4. Stir coconut into bowl with 1/2 of egg mixture. Pour over prepared crust. Mix pecans into other 1/2 of egg mixture and pour over coconut.

  5. Bake mixture in preheated oven for 25 minutes or until bars are set.

  6. In a bowl, melt chocolate chip in the microwave. Stir until smooth. Pour over the top of the baked bars and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
