1. Heat a large pan over medium heat. Add Italian sausage and cook, stirring to crumble, for 5-7 minutes.

2. Stir in water, milk and heavy cream. Bring to a boil and then reduce to simmer. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring frequently. Stir in black beans, corn and red pepper. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.

3. Remove from heat and stir in grated Parmesan cheese. Top with sliced green onions before serving.
