Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups pecan halves
  • 1 Tbsp oil
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a rimmed baking sheet with nonstick foil.

  2. Add pecan halves to large skillet and dry toast on low heat for 2 minutes. Transfer to plate.

  3. Add oil and syrup to skillet. Heat on medium high until starting to bubble. Stir in cinnamon, cardamom, ginger and cloves. Add pecans and stir to coat.

  4. Transfer pecans to prepared baking sheet and spread into single layer. Cook in preheated oven for 10-12 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle with salt. Let cool.

Recipe Notes

  • If you use a large oven proof skillet, you can simply roast the pecans in the skillet versus transferring them to a baking sheet. Just ensure the skillet is large enough for the pecans to roast in a single layer.
