Chocolate Chip Butterscotch Bars

  • 1 16.5 oz tube of chocolate chip cookie dough
  • 1 cup quick oats
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup butterscotch chips
  • 2/3 cup salted caramel sauce you can use caramel ice cream topping in a pinch
  • 4 1/2 Tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the cookie dough and quick oats together.
  3. Reserve 1/2 cup of the dough mixture and press the remaining dough into the bottom of a 9-inch square baking dish. Bake in the oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until set.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the chocolate chip and the butterscotch chips together. Pour over top of cooked cookie dough "crust".
  5. Mix caramel sauce, flour and vanilla together; stirring with a whisk. Drizzle over the chocolate chips.
  6. Crumble remaining 1/2 cup of cookie dough on top of the caramel sauce. Bake for an additional 20 to 25 minutes at 350 degrees.
