Ways to Find Extra Time in the Day

September 9, 2014 By Shannah Coe Leave a Comment

I’m not the busiest person in the world BUT I do have a pretty hectic schedule between my regular “day” job, the blog, kids and all of their activities. Saving time on regular tasks is one of my favorite ways to find extra time in the day.  Let’s talk about my top 3 ways to save time.

1) Write a to do list every morning. Yes, I know that might be adding something to your every growing list of things to do but it will help you keep focused on the things that need to be done and eliminate wasting time trying to remember what was on the day’s agenda.

2) Stop multi-tasking. No, I am not crazy. Very few people in the world successfully multi-task to the point that it helps them be more efficient. Many times, we get distracted in the middle of one task and the whole set of tasks takes longer than if we did them separately.

3) Take advantage of conveniences like shopping apps and in car pickup. I originally started doing this with my grocery store who offers an online ordering program and in car pickup. I can’t tell you how much time it saves me. I have often said to Mathlete that I wished more stores offered that type of service because it is a great way to offer more for their customers.

Well, Sears now has the Shop Your Way app and In-Vehicle Pickup to make shopping so much easier. Do a little online shopping through the app while you wait at checkout in some other store {that kind of multi-tasking is totally ok} and then head on over to pick it up at your local Sears store. No dragging Junior out of the car and into the store to search through the aisles. Oh, and it is awesome on those rainy days too where you know you NEED to get stuff but you just don’t want to trudge through the weather. The app and pickup service are just two of the ways that Sears gives you more. In fact, they are so passionate about this mission that they have started a video series about how they give their customers more. This one features a big surprise for Breanna who uses the Shop Your Way app.

Ok, so I am sure you are interested in how the app works so I took a few screenshots of me dream shopping in it the other day. It is so easy to use!

Start by going to the App Store or Play Store and searching for Sears Shop Your Way

Once the app is downloaded and you create a quick account, it is time to go shopping! The home page is great because it gives you quick options on where to start.

Just like a full site, the app offers filters so you can find what you want quickly.

Add it to your cart and you are ready to go. You can select free pickup and use the In-Vehicle delivery service they offer too!

Tell me what you would buy with the app! Want Sears to give more to you like they did for Breanna? Tweet @Sears with #MoreToYou and they just might!
