Peanut Butter Nutella Rice Krispie Treats

May 29, 2015 By Shannah Coe 9 Comments

I am thrilled to partner with Orajel™ Kids to share my thoughts on childhood tooth health. As always, while this post was sponsored, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

I have a GIANT sweet tooth. Like I think my whole mouth is nothing but sweet teeth because I crave sweets all the time. My children, especially my daughter, definitely inherited my loves of sweets. Now that she also loves to be in the kitchen, we do make a lot of treats together. Right now, her favorite is rice krispie treats but, of course, I had to change them up a bit so we made peanut butter nutella rice krispie treats in addition the regular ones.

Thai Sweet Potato Soup

December 21, 2014 By Shannah Coe 2 Comments

Grab some peanut butter and use it to create this delicious Thai Sweet Potato Soup that will have everyone bringing their bowl back for seconds!

Every year, I serve a similar menu for Christmas. Mathlete doesn’t love turkey so, after Thanksgiving, we don’t have that again until next Thanksgiving. I started making a beef tenderloin a few years ago and it is always a hit.

Thai Sweet Potato Soup has a delicious peanut butter taste and is perfect for cold winter days.

Peanut Butter Oreo Truffles

September 8, 2014 By Shannah Coe 2 Comments

Chocolate and peanut butter are one of the those combinations that I just can’t resist. We’ll blame my dad and his love for Reese’s for that one because it was instilledin my at a young age. To this day, I can’t think of many desserts I would choose over one that was a chocolate peanut butter something. So, when Oreo decided to release their Reese’s flavor, I knew I was in trouble. I also knew that I would have to use them to make peanut butter oreo truffles. You can thank for later 😉

The ultimate combination of peanut butter and chocolate! These are AH-MAZING and the BEST truffles I've ever had.

Peanut Butter Nutella Brownies

April 22, 2014 By Shannah Coe 2 Comments

I am a total Nutella junkie.  I can definitely be found eating it straight from the jar {I keep my own so it isn’t gross}.  But, if you add Nutella to peanut butter, watch out.  It is my all time favorite way to enjoy Nutella.  In fact, I am pretty sure I invented the ultimate snack of toasted English muffins with peanut butter on one side and Nutella on the other {don’t bust my bubble if I didn’t, okay?}.  I was looking for a way to combine my love of peanut butter and Nutella into a dessert {you know, besides pizza} and came up with peanut butter Nutella brownies.  You can thank me later…I accept all kinds of wine 😉

Chocolate Nutella Banana Pizza

July 18, 2012 By Shannah 27 Comments

Ok, I’m about to share something with you that is quite possibly the best dessert pizza EVER!

Now, it isn’t overly complicated or anything. In fact, I am sure someone, somewhere is sitting there thinking “pshaw, that isn’t anything new” but it was definitely new to me 🙂

Let’s talk about what you need:
1 pizza crust (I used a little pre-made single crust)
Creamy Peanut Butter
Nutella
1 Banana, sliced

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.
Now, get your crust ready. I follow the directions on the crust’s package and brush a little olive oil onto it but that is strictly personal preference. I made it both ways and couldn’t really tell a difference.

Spread a layer of peanut onto your crust

Spread your nutella on top and then top with sliced bananas. Put it on a baking sheet. {Note: I did spray a little bit of olive oil on top of my bananas to keep them “pretty” as H said}

Bake it for about 12 minutes or so…this isn’t an exact science so check it around 10 minutes. You can tell when it is done because the nutella will be all melty and the crust will be a little browned.

You can tell here {on my first attempt} that I left it in too long…a little too browned but still so delicious.

Enjoy your new favorite dessert!
