Peanut Butter Nutella Rice Krispie Treats

May 29, 2015 By Shannah Coe 9 Comments

I am thrilled to partner with Orajel™ Kids to share my thoughts on childhood tooth health. As always, while this post was sponsored, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

I have a GIANT sweet tooth. Like I think my whole mouth is nothing but sweet teeth because I crave sweets all the time. My children, especially my daughter, definitely inherited my loves of sweets. Now that she also loves to be in the kitchen, we do make a lot of treats together. Right now, her favorite is rice krispie treats but, of course, I had to change them up a bit so we made peanut butter nutella rice krispie treats in addition the regular ones.

25 Ways to Use Nutella

May 11, 2014 By Shannah Coe 1 Comment

This post was brought to you by Ferrero U.S.A, Inc., the makers of Nutella® hazelnut spread.  I received promotional consideration to write this post to support the Nutella 50th Anniversary … all opinions expressed are my own.

I am a huge Nutella® fan!  Long before I was putting Nutella® and peanut butter on pizzas, I was have simple snacks of Nutella® and peanut butter on English muffins or just spooning it right out of the jar with a spoon. In our house, we eat so much of at that we buy the two jar pack from Costco on a regular basis!

This month, Nutella® turns 50 and they are asking all Nutella® fans to “Share Your Nutella® Story” with them to help celebrate {perk: a coupon is involved if you share your story on their website and include the #NutellaStoriesCoupon when you post!}.  I decided the best way to really share my story is to share some of the amazing recipes that have inspired me to keep using Nutella® in new and different ways.  These 25 ways to use Nutella will give you all new ways to enjoy Nutella®.

Peanut Butter Nutella Brownies

April 22, 2014 By Shannah Coe 2 Comments

I am a total Nutella junkie.  I can definitely be found eating it straight from the jar {I keep my own so it isn’t gross}.  But, if you add Nutella to peanut butter, watch out.  It is my all time favorite way to enjoy Nutella.  In fact, I am pretty sure I invented the ultimate snack of toasted English muffins with peanut butter on one side and Nutella on the other {don’t bust my bubble if I didn’t, okay?}.  I was looking for a way to combine my love of peanut butter and Nutella into a dessert {you know, besides pizza} and came up with peanut butter Nutella brownies.  You can thank me later…I accept all kinds of wine 😉

Peanut Butter Nutella Crescent Rolls

December 16, 2013 By Shannah Coe 8 Comments

Remember peanut butter sandwiches from when you were a kid?  I do.  They were my absolutely favorite.  Even now, there is just something about a good peanut butter sandwich.  I’ve never been a jelly girl though so I always look for other things to put on my sandwiches.  That was how I discovered the incredible taste of peanut butter and nutella together.  Awhile back, I mixed it with bananas on a pizza and was in love.  But, over the weekend, I decided to make peanut butter nutella crescent rolls and Pillsbury might have a crescent roll shortage coming up because I will be buying them all the time to make these rolls!

Chocolate Nutella Banana Pizza

July 18, 2012 By Shannah 27 Comments

Ok, I’m about to share something with you that is quite possibly the best dessert pizza EVER!

Now, it isn’t overly complicated or anything. In fact, I am sure someone, somewhere is sitting there thinking “pshaw, that isn’t anything new” but it was definitely new to me 🙂

Let’s talk about what you need:
1 pizza crust (I used a little pre-made single crust)
Creamy Peanut Butter
Nutella
1 Banana, sliced

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.
Now, get your crust ready. I follow the directions on the crust’s package and brush a little olive oil onto it but that is strictly personal preference. I made it both ways and couldn’t really tell a difference.

Spread a layer of peanut onto your crust

Spread your nutella on top and then top with sliced bananas. Put it on a baking sheet. {Note: I did spray a little bit of olive oil on top of my bananas to keep them “pretty” as H said}

Bake it for about 12 minutes or so…this isn’t an exact science so check it around 10 minutes. You can tell when it is done because the nutella will be all melty and the crust will be a little browned.

You can tell here {on my first attempt} that I left it in too long…a little too browned but still so delicious.

Enjoy your new favorite dessert!
