Peppermint Marshmallow Fudge

December 11, 2013 By Shannah Coe 34 Comments

Fudge is one of my favorite Christmas time treats thanks to memories of my grandma making it. This year, I made some Peppermint Marshmallow Fudge to enjoy!

Fudge is like THE Christmas time dessert for me.  I think it is because my mom and grandma always made it in pretty much any variety you can imagine starting the day after Thanksgiving.  There were always tins of it at my grandma’s house for us to enjoy during our visits.  Peppermint Marshmallow Fudge

Easy Mod Podge Christmas Decoration

December 9, 2013 By Shannah Coe 7 Comments

Christmas decorating is pretty much my favorite thing to do in our home each and every year.  It takes me at least a week to get everything out and I am always looking to add new things to our existing items.  Of course, I am also looking to keep our spending in check so I find myself making things a lot more than I used to.  Plus, I am pushing myself to work with new craft tools or ones that I’ve been pretty unsuccessful with in the past.  I knew I wanted to add some more Christmas words to our decor so I created this easy mod podge Christmas decoration one afternoon.

Scents of the Season – Dried Fruit Potpourri

December 3, 2013 By Shannah Coe 23 Comments

During the holiday season, I am always looking for gift ideas that are homemade and don’t cost a lot of money.  With so many teachers and other people to give small gifts too, a homemade gift is a great option because it is thoughtful but easier to keep the costs under control.  This year, I decided to try my hand at making dried fruit potpourri to give as gifts.

December 2, 2013 By Shannah Coe Leave a Comment

Christmas crafting is in full swing here now that the calendar has flipped over to December.  I do a little bit of stuff during November but really don’t start with the “heavy” crafting until December.  There is something about really enjoying Thanksgiving as its own holiday that I love.  Of course, not actually crafting in November didn’t stop me from searching around for all kinds of inspiration to have for when I started my projects for the year.  To kick off the first week of December, I am sharing 25 awesome Christmas crafts with you today!

Five Minute Candle Decorations

November 28, 2013 By Shannah Coe 4 Comments

I love white candles.  Well, I love all candles actually but white candles are just so versatile {and inexpensive} so I keep them around all the time for little projects.  We don’t typically light the candles because our three year old would be certain to go try and play with them or knock them over.  So, instead, we end up decorating the candles to decorate WITH the candles.  I have a few five minute candle decorations to share with you today that use candles and a few other items you most likely already have on hand.  They are perfect for when you want to decorate with candles but don’t really plan to light the candles.Washi Tape candles with Label_wm
