So unprepared

Mathlete hubby and I are part of a dinner club that meets once per week. It was formed with a bunch of H’s classmates and their parents. For each “meeting”, the host provides the theme and main course and everyone else picks and provides food for another course. It is a ton of fun…especially for me since I love to cook! I usually spend a few hours searching for a great recipe and then plan out my “plan of attack” the night before so I can easily execute for the dinner.
Well, tomorrow is dinner club and the hosts have planned an awesome day at a local vineyard, Quattro Goombas. I am so excited and have picked a trio of salads to make: Asian Slaw Salad, Orzo Salad with Goat Cheese and Succotash Salad. I have the grocery list made but there is just one two problems.

Problem #1 – My kitchen has not been cleaned up from dinner. We had my “sister” over for dinner and then went outside for H to play with her friend next door. Somehow, it became 10pm and we haven’t touched a single dish or piece of leftover food. See what I mean:

The other problem is that we had so much fun over at the neighbor’s house that I just don’t feel like cooking (I can’t believe I even said that!). It was a great way to spend a Friday after a long week though.

I will just have a busy morning tomorrow catching up! Oh, and I’ll hope to have a post about picking our current paint colors tomorrow since I totally slacked off on that too. Until then, I highly recommend you try
