Every so often I share glimpses into the non-cooking/non-crafting side of my life. As you all know, my birthday was last week. Mathlete totally spoiled me by starting the “celebration” a week early in agreeing to go antique shopping with me at the Luckett’s Groundhog Day Sale.
We headed out on Saturday morning and prepped for a full day of shopping fun! Mathlete didn’t complain too much when we arrived and saw there were food options to entertain him
The grounds were set up with different shopping areas and then there was a ton of shopping inside the store. We started with the interior stuff because it C-O-L-D!
From here, I’ll let the pictures do the talking on some of the awesome stuff they had…
Beautiful jars…I seriously could have bought all of them if Mathlete hadn’t talked me out of it
Looking for new knobs? Lots of options including these bright blue ones.
We couldn’t decide what we would do with it but this little mailbox caught our eye.

This reminds me of a table we have that I could totally paint white!

We are looking for a new dresser for H’s room and this one was a contender.
Hello gorgeous!
We had to leave rather suddenly to take care of somet things at home. We decided the next morning to go back since we hadn’t looked at any of the stuff outside. Of course, this time, we ended up taking the kiddos with us.
H entertained herself with my camera on the drive there.

Ethan was pretty content with Super Grover.
For this trip, we focused on what was outside since that is what we missed much of on Saturday.

I love the idea of this table for an entryway.

I may have briefly tried to convince Mathlete we needed this table even though we just got a new table a few months ago.
We did take the kids inside to see Mathlete’s favorite item from the day before
Can you see Mathlete in the mirror? Yeah, he’s facebooking the photo of this guy. {cough, blogger tendencies, cough}
We called it a day at that point so we could get home for naptime and Super Bowl prep. I’ll share what we actually came home with another day 🙂
Do you have a favorite place to go look for antiques? I’m slowly finding new places around us that are great to go shopping!
