4 Easy Ways to Relieve Stress

March 11, 2015 By Shannah Coe 5 Comments

Let’s talk stress. As a mom of two gorgeous kids who also works 2 jobs {full time “real” job plus this blog}, I am definitely no stranger to stress. When deadlines start to pile up plus the demands of being a mom grow more and more, I find that I need have a few easy ways to relieve stress that I can turn to on a regular basis. Since I know we all get stressed from time to time {all the time?}, I thought I would share my top 4 ways to relieve stress.

4 Easy Ways to Relieve Stress

One thing I always try to remind myself when I start to get stressed is that it isn’t necessarily a bad thing. I mean, having a job and a successful blog are two great things! Plus, I wouldn’t trade my kids or their activities and commitments for anything. But, when I feel myself starting to get really stressed, even if it is for something positive, I always want to try and get a hold on it fast by doing one or more of the following:

1. Take a walk

4 easy ways to reduce stress

Stepping away for a few minutes from the things that are bring you stress is such a great way to reset and regain focus. A walk always helps me clear my head a little bit and relax so that I can get back to life without a ton of stress weighing me down.

2. Make a list

4 Easy Ways to Reduce Stress - To Do List Printable

It may seem counter intuitive to write down all of the items that you need to accomplish because it highlights all the things that are causing you stress. But, for me, having a to do list, broken out by day {I use this one and this one}, really helps eliminate a ton of stress because it gives me a plan of how to accomplish everything and helps me be assured that I won’t forget something.

3. RESCUE Pastilles

4 Easy Ways to Relieve Stress - RESCUE Pastilles

These little candy like pastilles are the perfect way to help naturally relieve stress. They were developed by a doctor and are gentle and safe. Plus, I love the taste. I get mine from Walgreens but they can also be found at CVS, Whole Foods and Sprouts.

4. Call a Friend

Just as with taking a walk, sometimes hearing the voice of a friend and talking about our day instantly helps relieve some of my stress. For me, it is a total reminder that I am not living this life alone and that I always have people to lean on.

What do you do to relieve stress? Have you ever tried RESCUE products like the Pastilles or Pearls?

Right now, RESCUE is offering an awesome coupon so it is the perfect time to give their stress relieving products a try. Or, if you have issues with sleep, consider trying the RESCUE Sleep Liquid Melts.

I was selected for this opportunity as a member of Clever Girls and the content and opinions expressed here are all my own.

I always feel so much more “in control” when I have a list! Just being able to cross things off is so satisfying!

I love this list – I love LISTS in general and they also make me feel less stressed. Sometimes I put something on the list that I already did just to get the satisfaction of crossing it off! 🙂 XO
